To share a folder with individual users outside the Wesleyan community, you must create a ticket for the folder in question. A ticket is really just a special hyperlink that you can share with anyone you like. Below are are the steps for creating a ticket. You can also watch an animated demo:
- Right- or control-click on the folder you want to share and choose Manage > Tickets.
- You will see a list of active tickets for the folder. (You can delete or edit existing tickets from this interface.)
- Choose “New Ticket” in the upper right.
- Name the ticket whatever you like, or use the default, but it’s helpful to choose a meaningful name.
- Choose whether to grant the ticket holder read-only or contributor access.
- Set a limit on the ticket or choose “unlimited.”
- Set an optional password on the ticket. If you set a password, you will need to send that password to anyone who needs to use the ticket.
- When you are ready, click OK
- Copy the hyperlink and email it to the people you want to share with.
- If you have set a password, you might want to send it in a separate email.
